Notes

Family Legend

My Grandmother, Ida Brey Boyd, claimed that her first ancestor came to America circa the Revolution.

His son served as an ammunition carrier on a USA Naval ship in the War of 1812 against the British.

Her later ancestors fought in the Civil War: one was a Sergeant who taught machine guns to recruits, the other was a Secretary to General Ulysses S. Grant.
